Jordan Jinosko's "Tales from the Aviary," a lyrical, romantic, and soaring homage to the various species of birds threatened by our world’s changing climate; Yanchen Ye's "Xisi for Symphonic Orchestra," a reflection on the dedication of artists, who pour their souls into their work, striving for the fulfillment that comes from bringing their visions to life; Katie Jenkins' "Awakening", a musical tapestry that weaves together the rich and historical sound world of Wales and the vibrant energy of NYC; Joel Toews' "Ra'ah" ("To Be Seen"), conveying the presence of a guiding force that leads one safely through to the other side during challenging times and remains a source of comfort. NCO will also be performing Thea Musgrave's "Aurora",  celebrating the full and joyous arrival of dawn, representing the potential and the musical burgeoning of young talent; and Howard Hanson's iconic American Symphony No. 2 ("Romantic"), known for its expansive, bold and cinematic melodies that range from sensuous and nostalgic to towering, monumental musical statements.
